Anthony's most recent abstract paintings - Observed objects, colours and textures emerge within paintings in a distilled, emotive form.

Anthony's most recent landscape paintings - often inspired by views around his home in the Scottish Borders.

I was born in Doncaster 1966 and studied Fine Art Painting BA Hons. at Wimbledon School of Art 1985-88. After a few years painting in Edinburgh, I moved to the Scottish Borders where I have been living, working and conducting art classes for over 25 years.

My painting roots are in Abstraction, but the move to the rural Borders countryside sparked an underlying interest in painterly landscape painting. Along with more urban themes, the subject matter may re-emerge in abstraction or suggest a more formal representation. Subject matter ranges from the wilder spaces and places and gritty textural landscapes from both home and abroad.

I have works held in Public and private collections in the UK and overseas including several works held in the Scottish Borders Council Public Art Collection.
